Reformation’s design mission is to make effortless silhouettes that celebrate the feminine figure and what more perfect way to do so than with a cutting edge swimwear line.
On April 13th, Reformation launched their brand new line of vintage-inspired swimwear. It is a nine-piece line made from 85-percent recycled materials to go along with the rest of their eco-friendly clothing. “It’s designed to get along with most of the Ref pieces in your closet—we have a ton of breezy linen pieces you can throw on top,” Aflalo says, adding that the one-pieces happily double as bodysuits.
The inspiration behind the label was a combo of Ref classics and vintage suits: “We got design ideas from our favorite vintage swimsuits and some of our best dresses and turned it into a collection of one-pieces and bikinis you can mix and match,” Aflalo said. The prices range from $78 to $168 depending on if it is a one or two piece, and each style is available in multiple colors and patterns. The suits are selling out in the blink of an eye, as these suits have been long awaited by “Ref girls”.
Style Station is excited to see such a fashionable and eco friendly range of suits on the market just in time to prepare for summer. One of our favorite patterns featured is the Gingham print as we have been seeing it as a trend lately on everything from pants, to tops, to even nails and headscarfs. Reformation is definitely paving the way for a sustainable way to be fashionable. We can proudly declare that we have joined the Reformation and so should you! #jointhereformation
